The board game template: dice, a city and raids

A ready board game template on iDos Games - roll the dice around a ring of tiles, attack other cities, raid for bonuses, land on special tiles and build your own city. What is inside and how to make it your own game.

Updated: Русский

The board game is a ready game to start from: the player rolls the dice, moves around a ring of tiles, attacks other cities, raids for bonuses and builds up their own city. The board is drawn in 3D, and the server decides every outcome, so a roll or a reward cannot be faked from the game.

What is inside

  • Dice rolls. The token moves around a ring of tiles; every tile has its own outcome.
  • Tiles. Coins, an attack on the city of another player or a bot, a raid for bonuses, special tiles with a reward choice.
  • Your own city. Buildings are upgraded for coins; a finished city opens the next stage, and the board never ends.
  • A 3D board in Three.js with a React interface on top.
  • Data instead of code. The board layout, tiles and prices are data, so the theme and economy are easy to re-skin.

A ring of tiles: coins, attack another city, raid, special bonus.
The city in the middle: its buildings are upgraded for coins.
Roll the dice (the server rolls) and build; a built city opens the next stage.

The idea is filled in for you: answer a couple of questions, and your own project on this template is ready.

Systems already connected

Besides the six systems of every project, the template brings its board mechanic:

On top of it you can easily add timed events, a leaderboard and a store - just ask the AI coder.

Step 01Create a project on the template

On the Create page describe a board game, for example: "A board game: I roll the dice around a ring of tiles, attack other cities and build up my own". The platform picks this base. More in how to make a game with AI.

Step 02Make it your own

  • "Make the board space-themed: planets instead of buildings".
  • "Add a tile with a mini-game".
  • "Make attacks give more coins and raids give gems".

Building prices, tile rewards and the number of rolls are easier to change in the dashboard: they are settings, not code.

Step 03Tune the economy and release

Go through the sections from the table, check the balance in the test version and release the game - see publishing and links.

For developers

  • The game module is board-game (Three.js plus a React interface), built entirely on client.gameLoop.
  • A roll is boardLoopRoll; when the response asks for an action (attack, raid, special tile), the game resolves it before the next roll. Building is boardLoopBuild, independent of rolls.
  • Details are in the game-loop-system skill, served by the SDK MCP server.

Frequently asked questions

Does the game or the server roll the dice?

The server. The game asks for a roll, and the server decides which tile the player landed on and what happened there, so a roll cannot be faked.

Can I change the theme of the board?

Yes. The board layout, tiles and economy are data, so the theme and the numbers are easy to change - in words to the AI coder and in the dashboard.
