Card collections: albums, packs and trading
How ready-made iDos Games collections work - an album of card sets, packs rolled by the server, rewards per set, a grand prize and trading cards with other players - and how to set them up in the dashboard.
Collections are a card album: the player opens packs, completes sets and trades the cards they lack with other players. Every completed set pays a reward, and the whole album pays the grand prize.
What the player sees
- The album: every set in order, the cards held (with how many) and the gaps.
- A reward per completed set and a grand prize for the whole album.
- Packs: every pack type and way to pay, opened once or ten at a time.
- Trades: offers from other players, your own offers and giving a spare card to a friend.
How it works
- The server rolls the packs: new cards and duplicates are shown.
- Duplicates turn into points; points buy collection chests.
- Trading works between friends and players of the same title.
Step 01Add the system to your project
Ask the AI coder: "Add a card collection". It installs the ready system with a small album, a pack and a chest.
Step 02Set it up in the dashboard
Open the dashboard, pick your project and go to Live Operations → v2 → Collection.
- Create an album: sets, cards and rarities.
- Set rewards per set and the grand prize.
- Create pack types with their prices and contents, and chests for points.
The AI button on the page opens an assistant: describe what you need, it proposes changes, and you review them and press Save.
Step 03Test and release
Check the system in the test version of your app. Settings go to the live app as a separate action - see publishing and links.
For developers
Collections work through client.collection in @idosgames/core.
// Open ten packs, then claim the reward of a completed set
const packs = await client.collection.openPack('forest_album', 'basic_pack', 10)
const res = await client.collection.claimSetReward('forest_album', 'forest_set')
if (!res.ok) return showError(res.error)- A trade is an offer the other player accepts or declines:
sendTradeOffer,acceptTradeOffer. - Claim every waiting set reward at once with
claimSetRewardsBatch.
Every field is described in the collection-system skill, served by the SDK MCP server.
