In the iDos Games mobile app your game can offer "watch an ad for a reward". The app shows the video, the server checks that it was watched and grants the reward, and you get 20% of the revenue of each view in earned Aspis.
How it works
- Your game asks for an ad with
client.ads.showRewarded(placementID). - The app opens a sheet: watch a video, or spend an ad unit.
- The ad network confirms the view to our server, and the server grants the reward of the placement.
- Your game gets the result and gives the player what the ad was for.
Ad units. Players earn units by watching ads from the icon in the app, one every few minutes. A unit replaces a video in any game. You are paid for a unit spent in your game the same way as for a watched video.
What to set up
- A rewarded placement in the
Advertisingsection of your game, for examplerv_continuewith a reward in ad credits. - A button in the game that calls the code below and handles every result:
const result = await client.ads.showRewarded('rv_continue')
if (result.status === 'granted') {
// result.creditsAwarded ad credits are on the balance
}The result is granted, pending (the reward arrives a bit later), denied (a limit of the placement), cancelled or unavailable. Treat unavailable as normal: on the website and outside the app there are no ads, so never block the game on an ad.
Rules
- Only rewarded ads: no banners and no ads between screens.
- Games where players can withdraw get no ads in the app. A reward for an ad must never become something that can be withdrawn. A game with its own token shows ads as long as withdrawals are off.
- Ad credits never buy crypto. A store product, deal or other price in ad credits cannot grant your token, another crypto currency or an item with an NFT: the server refuses it. Give game currency and regular items for ads.
- The reward is granted only by the server. The game never gives an ad reward by itself.
- Your share is credited once a day, after the ad network report for the day is ready (about two days later).
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own ad network account?
No. In the app the ads come from the platform account. You only add a rewarded placement to your game.
Why do ads not show on the website?
There are no web ads yet. Outside the app the call answers "unavailable", and the game must keep working without the ad.
