Publish and share your game or app
How publishing works on iDos Games - a test version and a live version, your app's own address, a page in the catalog, custom domains and one-click rollback.
Publishing has two steps: build a test version, check it, then deploy it to players. The live app gets its own address, can be listed in the idosgames.com catalog, and you can roll back to any earlier version in one click.
Test version and live version
- Test version: what you build and check in the AI coder. It opens at its own test address and does not affect players.
- Live version: what players see. "Deploy to prod" in the version history makes the checked build live.
The same build goes live that you tested - nothing is rebuilt on deploy. App settings (economy, store, quests) are sent to the live app as a separate action, so a code release never overwrites live settings by accident.
Your app's address
| Address | What opens there |
|---|---|
{id}.idos.games | The live app on its own domain |
{id}-dev.idos.games | The test version |
idosgames.com/app/{id} | The app page in the catalog: play, description, comments and, for apps with a token, trading |
{id} is the app ID in lowercase. Each app runs on its own address, so apps never share browser storage or
sign-in data with each other.
The catalog page appears when you publish the app to the catalog in the dashboard - the live address works without it, so you can test with friends before showing the app to everyone.
Custom domain
On paid plans you can connect your own domain (for example play.yourgame.com). Add it in the dashboard, create
the DNS records it shows, and the app opens at your domain once the record is confirmed.
Releasing from your own tools
You can also build the game yourself and upload a ready build - for example from Claude Code or another agent connected over MCP. The build is served from the same addresses.
Frequently asked questions
What address does my app get?
Every app gets its own address on idos.games derived from its ID, for example abcd1234.idos.games. The test version lives next to it at abcd1234-dev.idos.games.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on paid plans. You add the domain in the dashboard and confirm it with a DNS record.
How do I undo a bad release?
Open the version history and deploy the previous version again. Rollback is one click.
