Special offers: starter packs and limited deals

How ready-made iDos Games special offers work - limited-time deals that pop up by themselves, chains of steps, pick-one gifts and milestone bonuses - and how to set them up in the dashboard.

Updated: Русский

Special offers are limited-time deals that pop up by themselves: a starter pack, a chain of steps where each one unlocks the next, or a gift to pick from. The server decides who sees a deal and which step is open.

What the player sees

  • A new deal pops up once by itself and the impression is counted.
  • The "Offers" screen with every active deal and its timer.
  • Three shapes: one big offer, a chain of steps, or cards to pick one from.
  • Free steps, currency prices and a milestone bar with its own rewards.

Example. A special offer: a chain of steps with a timer and a bonus bar.

How it works

  • A deal is a graph of steps: the server decides which step is open after each purchase.
  • A step can be free, cost currency or be paid in the app store.
  • The deal has a timer and conditions of who sees it.

Step 01Add the system to your project

Ask the AI coder: "Add a starter pack". It installs the ready system with a three-step starter pack and a free welcome gift.

Step 02Set it up in the dashboard

Open the dashboard, pick your project and go to Live Operations → v2 → Deal Offer.

  • Create a deal: its shape (one offer, chain or pick one), steps and prices.
  • Set the timer and who the deal is shown to.
  • Add the milestone bar if the deal has a bonus for completing steps.

The AI button on the page opens an assistant: describe what you need, it proposes changes, and you review them and press Save.

Step 03Test and release

Check the system in the test version of your app. Settings go to the live app as a separate action - see publishing and links.

For developers

Special offers work through client.dealOffer in @idosgames/core.

TypeScript
// Active deals of the player, then take one step of a deal
const deals = await client.dealOffer.getActiveDeals()
await client.dealOffer.recordShow(slotID) // the deal was shown: counts the impression
const res = await client.dealOffer.executeNode(slotID, nodeID)
  • Call recordShow when the deal is actually shown, so the impressions are honest.
  • Step status is the server's: after executeNode read the deal again, do not unlock steps on the client.

Every field is described in the deal-offer-system skill, served by the SDK MCP server.
