AI music generator: songs and soundtracks from text
How to use an AI music generator: a song or background music from a description, sound effects, a soundtrack for a reel, voice tools and what a track costs.
Video transcript
An AI music generator writes a track from a few words of description.
Name the genre, the mood, what it is for and how long it should be.
Here is what came out. Listen.
On the same page: sound effects for a game, a voice-over for a video, or a new voice for your recording.
Music and sound are open on every plan, Free included.
How to describe a track and make music for a game is in the full guide on idosgames.com.
An AI music generator writes a track from a description of the genre, the mood, the instruments and the length, and on iDos Games it works in the browser: open Audio, choose Music and sounds, describe the track and press Create. Music is open on every plan, the Free plan included, and the price is on the button before you start.
The same page voices text, changes a voice, translates speech and turns speech into text. Templates make background music, sound effects, a victory sound or a soundtrack for a reel from one line. Below is how to describe a track so it sounds the way you hear it in your head, and how to use it in a video or a game.

- Music and sounds: a song or an instrumental track from your description.
- Sound effects: any sound from a description, such as steps, an explosion or rain.
- Background music: an instrumental track for a video in the mood you pick.
- Soundtrack for a reel: a catchy 20-second track for a vertical video.
- Victory sound: a short cheerful jingle for a win in your game.
- Voice tools: Text to speech, Change voice, Translate speech and Speech to text.
Step 01Describe the track
A good description answers four questions:
- Genre: lo-fi, synthwave, orchestral, rock, chiptune.
- Mood: calm, tense, happy, epic.
- Instruments and tempo: "soft piano and strings, slow".
- Purpose and length: "a 30-second loop for a game menu".
Example: "Calm lo-fi beat with warm piano and vinyl crackle, 80 BPM, a seamless loop for a cozy game menu, instrumental". A few more by task:
- Game boss fight: "tense orchestral track with heavy drums and brass, fast, epic, instrumental".
- Product video: "light upbeat electronic track, positive mood, clean synths, 30 seconds".
- Podcast intro: "short warm acoustic guitar jingle, friendly, 10 seconds".
Step 02Vocals or instrumental
Whether a track has vocals depends on the model. To get a song, describe the voice, the language and what the song is about; models that sing will add them. For background music under a voice-over or in a game, write "instrumental" so nothing competes with speech or with the game's sounds.
Step 03Sound effects and short sounds
For a game or a video you often need a short sound, not a song: a coin, a jump, a door, an explosion, a win. Describe the sound itself, for example "bright arcade coin pickup, short". The Sound effects and Victory sound templates are made for this.

- Text to speech reads your text in a chosen voice: a voice-over for a video or lines for a character.
- Change voice re-voices your recording with another voice.
- Translate speech turns a recording into another language.
- Speech to text writes down what was said.
You can record a voice right on the page with the microphone.
How to improve a track you almost like
Change one thing at a time. If the mood is right but the tempo is wrong, keep the whole description and change only "80 BPM" to "120 BPM". If the instruments are wrong, name the ones you want and the ones to drop: "no drums, only piano and strings". Changing everything at once makes it hard to tell what helped. When you find a description that works, save it: the next track for the same game starts from it and sounds like part of one soundtrack.
Music for a game
A game needs a few kinds of sound, and each is described differently:
- A menu theme: calm, a seamless loop, instrumental, so it does not tire after many minutes.
- Gameplay music: steady energy that matches the pace, again a loop.
- Moments: a short jingle for a win, a sting for a defeat, a sound for a level up.
- Effects: coins, jumps, hits and doors from Sound effects.
Keep the genre and the instruments the same across all of them, and the game sounds like it has one composer.
Step 05Use the track
Download it or keep it in My generations. In a game you build on iDos Games the track becomes its background music or menu theme. For a reel, pair the track with a clip from the video generator.
What a track costs
Music and sound are open on every plan, the Free plan included. A generation uses the AI credits of your plan first, then the Aspis of your account, and media generations start once you have at least 20 available in total. The exact price depends on the mode or model and is shown on the Create button before you start.
Music inside your own game
The audio page on the site is for you. If you want your players to make music, add it to your game or app as in-app AI: a theme for the player's base, a jingle for their level. You set what the feature makes and the price for players, and the prompts stay on the server.
"A fox knight in golden armor, cartoon style"
Mistakes to avoid
- Only a genre. "Rock" gives a random rock track. Add the mood, the instruments and what the track is for.
- Vocals under a voice-over. For background music write "instrumental".
- A song when you need a sound. For a coin or a jump use Sound effects, not a full track.
- No length. Say how long it should be, or say "loop" for a game menu.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make music on the Free plan?
Yes, music and sound are open on every plan. A generation uses the AI credits of your plan first, then your Aspis, and starts once you have at least 20 available in total.
Can the AI make a song with vocals?
It depends on the model. Describe the vocals in the request: the voice, the language and what the song is about, and models that sing will add them. For a track without vocals write "instrumental".
Can I use the music in my game or video?
Yes. Download the track or use it in a project on iDos Games: as background music, a menu theme or a sound for a win.
What else is on the Audio page?
Text to speech, Change voice, Translate speech, Speech to text, and templates for sound effects, background music, a soundtrack for a reel and a victory sound.
