How to use an AI image generator in the browser: text to image, photo editing with a brush, templates, prompt tips, modes and what a picture costs.

Video transcript

An AI image generator turns a description into a picture, right in your browser.

Describe four things: what is in the picture, where, the style and the light.

Press Create, and here is the picture.

Something is off? Fix that part with a brush, remove the background or upscale it, without starting over.

Images are open on every plan, Free included, and the price is on the button before you start.

Tips and templates are in the full guide on idosgames.com.

An AI image generator turns a text description into a picture, and on iDos Games it works right in the browser: open Images, describe the picture, press Create and download the result. The same page edits your own photos with a brush, removes the background or objects, upscales, expands the frame and changes the lighting or the style, and ready templates turn one photo into an avatar, a toy or a cover.

Most image generators look alike from the outside: a text box and a button. The difference is in what happens after the first picture. Can you fix one part without starting over? Do you see the price before you press? Can you use the picture somewhere, not just download it? Below is how the iDos Games generator answers these questions and how to get a good picture in fewer tries.

What the AI image generator can do

  • Create image: a picture from your description.
  • Edit photo with a brush: paint over a part and describe what should be there.
  • Remove background for a sticker, an item icon or a product photo.
  • Upscale and enhance a small or blurry picture.
  • Remove an object from a photo without a trace.
  • Expand the frame beyond the edges of the picture.
  • Change the lighting or change the style of a photo.
  • Templates: an anime avatar, a 3D toy avatar, a pixel art avatar, an action figure in a box, a cover.

Everything you make stays in My generations on the studio page and in the creator dashboard.

Step 01Describe the picture

A good prompt names four things: what is in the picture, where, in what style and in what light.

  • Weak: "a cat".
  • Good: "a ginger cat in a knight's helmet on a castle wall, sunset light, painted fantasy illustration".

Add the format if it matters: a square avatar, a wide banner, a vertical poster. Write in your own language, the generator understands it. A few more examples by task:

  • Game item: "a glowing blue crystal sword on a dark background, game icon, clean edges".
  • Banner: "a wide banner of a pixel-art castle at night, stars, space on the left for a title".
  • Avatar: "a friendly robot head, flat illustration, round frame, bright colors".

Step 02Pick the mode

The modes trade price for quality: a cheaper and faster one for drafts, a balanced one for most work and the best one for the final picture. Under Other models you can pick a specific model by name, when you know which one you want. The price is always on the button, before you press it.

A simple habit saves credits: find the idea in the cheaper mode, then make the final version in the best one.

Step 03Edit what you got

Rarely is the first picture perfect. Instead of generating again from scratch:

  • Edit with a brush: paint over the part to change and describe what should be there.
  • Remove background for a sticker or an icon.
  • Upscale and enhance a small or blurry picture.
  • Remove an object that spoils the frame.
  • Expand the image beyond its frame for a banner or a wallpaper.
  • Change the lighting or restyle it to match the rest of your pictures.

Editing keeps what already works, so it usually takes fewer tries than a new prompt. A good order is: get the composition right first, then fix details one by one, and change the style or lighting last, when the picture itself suits you.

How to get consistent pictures

For a set of icons or several characters of one game, keep one part of the prompt the same every time: the style and the light, for example "flat game icon, soft studio light, dark background". Change only the subject. The pictures then look like one family instead of six different artists.

Step 04Use the picture

Download it, or keep it in My generations. If you build a game or an app on iDos Games, the same pictures become its art, covers and icons. Your players can also generate pictures inside your app: see AI in your game.

Ready templates

Templates are formats where you only add a photo or a few words: an anime avatar, a 3D toy avatar, a pixel art avatar, an action figure in a box, a cover. Everything else is set in the template, so the result looks right on the first try. New templates appear on the page by themselves. Upload a photo of a person only if it is you or someone who agreed to it.

What a picture costs

Images are open on every plan, the Free plan included. A generation uses the AI credits of your plan first, then the Aspis of your account, and media generations start once you have at least 20 available in total. The exact price depends on the mode or model and is shown on the Create button before you start. If you are not signed in, the page asks you to sign in and keeps the form filled in.

Pictures inside your own app

The generator on the site is for you. If you want your users to make pictures, add the same ability to your game or app as in-app AI: a portrait of the player's hero, a skin, a card illustration. You set the price for players, and the prompts and models stay on the server.

Mistakes to avoid

  • A one-word prompt. "A cat" gives a random cat. Say what, where, style and light.
  • Starting over for a small flaw. Fix it with the brush instead of a new generation.
  • The best mode for every draft. Drafts in the cheaper mode, the final in the best one.
  • Other people's photos. Use photos of yourself or of people who agreed.

Frequently asked questions

Is the image generator free?

Images are open on every plan, the Free plan included. A generation uses the AI credits of your plan first, then your Aspis, and starts once you have at least 20 available in total. The exact price is on the Create button before you start.

Which AI model makes the images?

Pick a mode: cheaper and faster, balanced or best quality. Next to the modes there is Other models, where you choose a model by name from the list. The price on the button changes with the choice.

Can I use the images in my game or app?

Yes. Download the result or use it right in a project you build with the AI coder on iDos Games: as art, a cover, an icon or an item.

Can I edit my own photo?

Yes: paint over the part you want to change and describe what should be there. There are also one-click tools to remove the background or an object, upscale, expand the frame, change the lighting or the style.
